Know Before You Go
As we make our final preparations for Opening Day on Monday, July 6th, we've gathered everything you need to know before arriving on campus. Below you'll find important reminders, key logistics, and a few final action items to help ensure a smooth start to the program—including a reminder for accepted students who have not yet completed course registration. If you've been accepted but haven't officially registered, now is the time to secure your place and cohort before spots fill.
If you have any additional questions after reviewing this email, you can visit our FAQ page or reach out to us anytime at info@thestatelesscollective.org.
Student Registration
Registration is essential to ensuring the program begins smoothly. Because cohort spaces are limited, enrollment is managed on a first‑come, first‑served basis. If you’ve been accepted but haven’t registered, you may be placed in a different cohort if your original choice fills.

Students who have already registered can view their cohort information in their student profile under Registration. If you wish to change your cohort, please bring that request to us on day one or contact us in advance.

This isn’t a disadvantage. All students can complete projects in any subject area, regardless of cohort. You also aren’t required to register for the cohort listed on your application. If your first choice fills or you’d prefer another option, we encourage you to select a cohort that aligns with a secondary interest so you can secure your spot. You must log in to register.
Where To Go
When you arrive, go to the entrance on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Essex St. Our staff will be there to greet you in black t-shirts that say IDEAcademy.

Transportation: Parking in the area is quite limited, so we recommend that students either be dropped off or use public transportation. The Fuller Building is located directly across the street from the T Green Line B at the Boston University Central stop. BlueBike stations and the MBTA 57 Bus are also great options.
Program Breakdown:

Program Hours:
IDEAcademy will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Programming starts promptly on the hour, so please try to arrive at the location a few minutes early.
A breakdown of the daily schedule can be seen to the left.
What To Bring:
Students should bring following:

-
A water bottle
-
A packed lunch or lunch money
-
A backpack or bag
-
A laptop (if you have one)
All other school supplies and materials will be provided by the program.
Demo Day
Save the date for the grand finale! On the last day of the program, Friday, July 24th, we will hold a Demo Day Symposium where our talented students will showcase the impactful projects they have worked on.
Friends and family are encouraged to attend, and various community leaders will be invited to network with our students as well! Students will wear an IDEAcademy t-shirt that we will provide ahead of the event.

Additional Logistics
Food Availability: IDEAcademy will not be providing breakfast or lunch options for participants at this time. We do have time allocated in our daily schedule for a lunch period, during which students can have something they packed from home or try one of the many local restaurants in the area. For those with severe allergies or dietary restrictions, we have spaces available for students to eat separately if cross-contamination is a major concern. Please let our team know about any serious allergy concerns in advance of the first day of the program. You can inform us by updating your student profile on our website before the first day of July 6th, or by contacting us directly thereafter.
Accommodations: The Stateless Collective is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. While our small nonprofit has limited resources, we strive to provide equal opportunities for everyone. Currently, we are not able to offer certain forms of specialized assistance, such as aides or language instruction. However, we are committed to exploring alternative solutions and partnerships to support diverse needs. Please contact us with any questions/accommodation requests you may have regarding your or your student's specific needs, and our team will respond promptly.
